Role Purpose:

The Senior Manager – Corporate Physical Security & HSE is responsible for the strategic planning, governance, and operational management of corporate physical security and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) functions across all company assets, facilities, and operations.

The role ensures protection of people, property, information, and reputation, while maintaining full compliance with local laws, international standards, and company policies related to safety, security, and environmental management.

Responsibilities:

Corporate Physical Security

  • Management Develop, implement, and continuously improve the corporate physical security strategy, policies, and standards across all sites.
  • Lead security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and threat analyses for offices, facilities, critical infrastructure, and projects.
  • Oversee access control systems, CCTV, intrusion detection, alarm systems, and guard force operations. 
  • Manage security operations including incident response, investigations, emergency management, and crisis coordination.
  • Establish and maintain security governance frameworks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance audits. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and external authorities (police, civil defence, regulators).
  • Ensure protection of executives, VIPs, and high-risk personnel when required. Manage outsourced security service providers, contracts, KPIs, and performance reviews.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management

  • Lead the development and implementation of the corporate HSE management system in alignment with international standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Ensure full compliance with local HSE regulations, legal obligations, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct and oversee HSE risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA), and environmental impact controls.
  • Manage workplace safety programs, including: Occupational health and safety Emergency preparedness and fire safety Contractor and third-party HSE compliance Monitor, report, and investigate HSE incidents, near misses, and root cause analyses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented. 
  • Lead HSE audits, inspections, and management reviews. 
  • Promote a strong HSE culture and awareness across the organization through training, campaigns, and leadership engagement.

Business Continuity & Emergency Management

  • Develop and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Emergency Response Plans (ERP).
  • Lead crisis management simulations, drills, and tabletop exercises.
  •  Act as a key member of the Crisis Management Team, ensuring coordinated response during emergencies. Ensure operational resilience of critical business functions.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Align security and HSE programs with enterprise risk management frameworks.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on: Security risks and incidents HSE, performance metrics and trends  and Compliance status and corrective actions
  • Support regulatory inspections, certifications, and external audits. Maintain documentation, records, and performance dashboards. 

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop security and HSE teams. Manage budgets, resources, and long-term planning for security and HSE initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education and Professional Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Safety Engineering, HSE, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification
  • CPP, PSP, or equivalent security certification
  • ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 Lead Auditor (added advantage)

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in corporate physical security and HSE management
  • Proven experience managing large portfolios, multi-site operations, or critical infrastructure
  • Strong background in risk management, crisis response, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience working with senior executives and external authorities

Authority & Decision-Making

  • Authority to enforce security and HSE standards across the organization
  • Authority to stop unsafe work or activities presenting security or safety risks
  • Budget ownership for security and HSE programs.
