Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Capturing System requirements: Capture the end user, business, operations and other stakeholders needs and use cases, identify system constraints, and transform them into system requirements and CONOPS documents
- Defining system architecture: contribute to system architecture trade-off analysis, allocating system function to segments and sub-systems, and define system level interfaces requirement documents.
- Developing segment requirements and procurement specifications: Support the development of the specifications for all space segment and ground segment procurement processes, in coordination with the other sections in the Engineering Department.
- Support Proposals Review and Assessment: Support other Sections in the Engineering Division, the Broadband Operations Division and other relevant areas of Space42 in the review and assessment of proposals received in response to RFP’s issued by the company
- System Performance Analysis: Assess end-to-end system performances (link throughput, capacity, availability, latency) for different services and user terminals to be deployed in the network for GEO and LEO satcom systems. Support to Business Units across the company to identify user cases and performance. Support to Spectrum and Regulatory Affairs team in preparation to coordination agreement and evolution of regulations rules and recommendations. Calculate the overall Capacity analysis. Maintain a database containing the latest information from satellite, user terminal, modems and waveforms to be used in the system. Ensure a summary report is maintained up to date for all system analysis aspects.
- Model Satcom end-to-end system in the Space42 Link Budget and system performance analysis Tools.
- E2E system functional chains: In the frame of procurement contracts, contribute to the review all E2E system level functions and performances spanning across multiple segments (space and ground)
- System testing and acceptance: Contribute to the system integration and validation strategy and test plan definition, relying on projects suppliers testing complemented by budgeted and structured in house test plans and procedures covering the entire system. Ensure that such test plans answers Space42 stakeholders need and use cases. Contribute to the execution of the system test procedures, and to the reporting and analysis of test results. Follow up on non-conformances and anomalies identification and correction during system test and acceptance campaigns
- Continuous Improvement: Provide inputs and suggestions for the continuous improvement of existing practices considering ‘best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans. Engagement with 3rd party vendors, partners and internal teams to help expand and enhance Space42 GEO and LEO space networks solutions
