Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical support to all space42 Gateways and UBS to perform maintenance/troubleshooting.
  • To maintain the RF Systems function for ensuring operational efficiency and 24/7 system availability. 
  • Coordinate and execute the technical operation, ensure the integrity and reliability of the systems.
  • Involvement in the construction / installation and testing of new equipment or modification of existing equipment.
  • Carry out all emergency / corrective maintenance as required in field of expertise.
  • Perform periodic preventive maintenance activities for all space42 gateways.
  • Support for proper root cause analysis done and agreed by all stakeholder before closure on regular basis
  • Support for obsolesces management - to ensure alternative solution in case of any EOS, EOSL and EOL parts with RF systems
  • Support Commercial C , KU ,T4 , SAR and PGW gateways
  • Support for contracts renewal, negotiation contracts, Negotiation Procurement, service level agreement etc.
  • Providing new ideas and initiatives that will dynamically develop RF team, reduce the CAPEX/OPEX costs, reduce the operational risks.
  • Support Junior’s for learning and developments
  • 24/7 Operation support (Local or remotely), Engineer shall be at site whenever needed for the operation purpose
  • Perform all preventive and corrective Maintenance of the systems
  • Ensure maintenance and coordination of all site wide support ground equipment, including power, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), cooling and Air Conditioning systems
  • Coordination with NOC’s, Service Providers, contractors etc. for scheduling of the maintenance or troubleshooting
  • Involve to procurement (Sourcing, negotiation, technical compliance etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications
  • A minimum of 5 years in the areas of experience involving Operation, maintenance and Troubleshooting of RF/Broadcast/SATCOM/ systems and minimum 2 years working experience on projects
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking & communication skills.

Technical Competency

  • Maintenance (Corrective/Preventive)
  • Troubleshooting and logging
  • Experience in troubleshooting, operating and maintaining local, remote baseband, IF and  RF, Antennas
  • Ground Support Equipment
  • Maintain operations for all required support ground equipment
  • Ground support equipment’s continuously operative.
  • Maintenance schedules timely prepared and implemented
  • Related Technical Skills
  • Good computer proficiency includes latest operating system, MicroSoft office Word / Excel / Power Point / share point and Outlook, eDocs (Self Service and report portal) etc.
  • Hands of experience on test & measurement tools (Spectrum Analyser, Signal Generator, Power Meter, Sensor & calibration, multi-meter, inclinometer and  Compass etc.)
  • Working at height- and PPE/Safety requirements
  • Man-lift operations for maintenance at height
  • Use of all general tools
  • Maintenance Operations
  • Response time and decision making in emergency situations
  • Mechanically adept at repairing / maintaining equipment and machinery.
