Analyst - Aerial Survey

Overview:

The Analyst – Aerial Survey Operations contributes to the planning, execution, and delivery of aerial survey projects in collaboration with the Survey Engineer and other technical teams. This role ensures the effective operation of aerial survey missions by providing technical expertise, in-field support, and resource coordination, while adhering to organizational policies, safety protocols, and project guidelines. 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the planning and scheduling of aerial survey projects in coordination with the Survey Engineer.

  • Execute aerial survey missions in compliance with project plans, operational procedures, and SOPs.

  • Ensure availability and functionality of all resources, including equipment and materials, required for aerial survey missions.

  • Conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks, ensuring mission accuracy and quality standards are met.

  • Perform quality control on collected data before submission for final processing or client delivery.

  • Maintain aerial survey equipment and perform minor troubleshooting as needed.

  • Prepare daily preliminary flight reports, documenting mission details and observations.

  • Provide in-field support during missions and ensure compliance with safety and technical protocols.

  • Assist with permit applications and coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure smooth access to airport facilities and other restricted zones.

  • Support operational readiness by coordinating aerial survey activities and events within the organization.

  • Conduct on-the-job training (OJT) for team members on aerial survey equipment and operational techniques.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and reliability under pressure, especially during field operations.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Remote Sensing, or GIS.

  • For UAE Nationals: Diploma or Higher Diploma in Engineering or Computer Science is acceptable.

  • 10 to 15 years of professional experience in aerial survey operations, remote sensing, geospatial data acquisition, or related fields.

  • Proficiency with aerial survey equipment and sensors.

  • Understanding of remote sensing principles and GIS applications.

  • Familiarity with pre/post-processing of aerial data.

  • Ability to perform minor troubleshooting on aerial equipment and sensors.
