The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Principal Technical Architect to lead the architecture and delivery of complex, enterprise-grade digital, data, and AI solutions. This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for defining architectural strategy, governing solution design, and ensuring successful end-to-end delivery across large-scale programs.
The role combines deep technical expertise with strategic oversight, working closely with engineering, DevOps, cybersecurity, and program leadership teams to ensure that architectural vision is effectively translated into secure, scalable, and high-quality production systems.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own the overall architectural vision across application, data, integration, infrastructure, security, and AI domains.
- Establish architecture standards, principles, and best practices aligned with enterprise and cloud strategies.
- Ensure consistency, scalability, and future readiness of solutions across multiple programs and initiatives.
- Oversee and govern both high-level and low-level designs (HLDs & LLDs), including:
- Component and service architecture
- Deployment and environment strategies
- Data models, data flows, and integration patterns
- API design and interface standards
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to solution architects and engineering teams.
- Review and approve critical architectural and design decisions.
- Act as the senior technical authority across the full delivery lifecycle (design → build → go-live).
- Partner with delivery leadership to:
- Define scope and solution approach
- Identify risks and dependencies
- Drive key technical decisions
- Ensure all non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, availability, security) are met at enterprise level.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to align business objectives with technical strategy.
- Clearly communicate architectural vision and decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Lead technical discussions with vendors, partners, and system integrators.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, proposals, SoWs, and transformation programs.
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies, including AI/ML, cloud-native, and data platforms.
- Promote security-by-design and best engineering practices across all solutions.
- Mentor and develop internal architecture and engineering capabilities.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in solution architecture and technical leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading architecture for large-scale, enterprise transformation programs.
- Strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery expertise.
- Deep expertise in:
- Cloud and hybrid infrastructure architectures
- Data platforms and advanced analytics
- Enterprise integration patterns and APIs
- AI/ML solutions at scale
- Data centre and air-gapped environments
- Security architecture and governance (security-by-design)
- Experience in leading and mentoring architects and cross-functional technical teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including C-level communication.
