The Opportunity:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our TechOps team. In this role, you will be the guardian of our product's stability and performance, ensuring maximum uptime and seamless operation of our Big Data and AI platforms. You will bridge the gap between development and operations by applying software engineering principles to infrastructure problems. This is a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical systems, automate complex workflows, and directly impact the reliability of solutions that shape the future of data analytics in the MENA region. 

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the daily Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of our products, ensuring system health and performance.

• Serve as the first point of contact for customer incidents, providing frontline management and taking necessary actions to restore service.

• Guarantee maximum uptime for all deployments by performing system updates, patches, hotfixes, and upgrades.

• Act as a key participant in the incident management process, including issue triage, technical support, and escalation management.

• Assist in prioritizing technical issues, facilitate escalations to the engineering team, and coordinate resolutions with clients to ensure clear communication.

• Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans and related risk assessments.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• 8+ years of product administration experience in Linux-based environments (RHEL, CentOS, Debian & Ubuntu).

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Hadoop Administrator with Expert-level knowledge of Cloud Operations.

• Must have prior experience managing Big Data platforms using automation tools like Ansible and Helm Charts.

• Must have knowledge of best practices for Data Warehousing, including business intelligence and business continuity planning.

• Hands-on experience with monitoring platforms (Zabbix, Grafana) and working closely with data delivery teams.

• Proven experience in the implementation and ongoing administration of applications in Air-Gapped infrastructure.

• Strong competency in Linux administration (security, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, monitoring) and basic networking troubleshooting.

Skills

• You excel at monitoring, supporting, and administering production environments, from initial onboarding to upgrades and recovery for both bare-metal and cloud infrastructures.

• You have an eye for detail, designing and maintaining automation code for the deployment and configuration of systems (Infrastructure & Application) and services.

• You follow production deployment procedures and design the best technical approaches while ensuring network and security compliance.

• You adhere to production support processes, documenting daily activities and contributing to the team's knowledge base.

• You have the ability to transform ambiguity into clarity, tackling complex problems with a structured approach.

• You enjoy collaborating in a multicultural and diverse environment that expands to include various geographic locations by using cutting-edge technologies.

• You possess stellar communication skills, effectively expressing yourself and conveying information in a clear, credible, and consistent manner.
