Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, you will apply data mining & statistical analysis techniques like hypothesis testing, segmentation and modelling to analyze large volume data in order to drive business optimization & enhance product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
Functional
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and generate business insights relevant to Presight’s business goals.
- Maintain complex data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
- Use emerging technologies such as machine learning & AI and advanced programming to derive insights from large datasets.
- Apply data science techniques to multimodal datasets, including structured, unstructured, and audio/speech data, to extract insights and improve model performance.
- Develop, evaluate, and optimize models related to speech recognition, natural language processing (NLP), and translation, supporting use cases such as transcription, language understanding, and multilingual analytics.
- Co-develop research plans, implement models and monitor outcomes by collaborating with different departments and business stakeholders in order to help shape the research approach and potential output.
- Conduct market/industry characteristics analysis, competitor assessment, trend analysis, demand forecasting, regulatory reviews, demographic assessment, macro-economic analysis and benchmarking for datasets received.
- Leverage the data received from the data analytics team and use them in conjunction with current organizational dynamics to develop transformational business intelligence solutions.
- Work with content developers to translate research insights into compelling stories for interpretation of analyses and data visualization.

The criteria to evaluate your performance would include cost savings achieved, number of use cases investigated + datasets mined & explored, number of existing solutions & processes optimized, number of services and solutions digitized, number of innovations/POCs deployed, and customer NPS.
To qualify, you must have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in executing complex research projects
- At least 3 years of experience in using data science to conduct hypothesis-driven research, preferably for AI or in the analytics industry
- Hands-on experience working with audio, speech, and language datasets, including exposure to speech recognition, speech processing, NLP, or machine translation models
