Overview:
The Manager - Product Marketing will play a critical role in the success of Inception’s products by driving awareness, adoption, and customer satisfaction. By developing effective marketing strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams, this role will contribute to the company’s growth and competitive advantage.
The opportunity
The Manager - Product Marketing will oversee the positioning, messaging, and marketing of Inception’s products. This position requires a strong background in product marketing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technical product features into compelling value propositions. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B and B2C markets and a track record of successful product launches.
Responsibilities:
The Manager - Product Marketing at Inception will be responsible for leading the product marketing efforts to drive product adoption, market penetration, and customer engagement. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of product marketing, market research, and competitive analysis. This position will work closely with product management, sales, and marketing teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that align with Inception’s business objectives.
- Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new product launches and updates.
- Define target market segments, positioning, and messaging that resonate with customers.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and trends.
- Perform competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and threats.
- Product Positioning and Messaging:
- Develop clear and compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates the company's products in the market.
- Create and maintain product marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and sales tools.
- Sales Enablement:
- Provide the sales team with the necessary tools, training, and content to effectively sell the products.
- Develop and deliver product training sessions for sales and customer support teams.
- Campaign Management:
- Plan, execute, and manage product marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, email marketing, events, and social media.
- Monitor and optimize campaign performance to maximize ROI.
- Customer Advocacy:
- Develop and manage customer advocacy programs, including customer testimonials, case studies, and reference programs.
- Gather customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with product management to align product marketing efforts with product development roadmaps.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate product marketing strategies with broader marketing initiatives.
- Performance Measurement:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of product marketing efforts.
- Analyze and report on product marketing metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Skills and attributes for success
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in product marketing or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful product launches and go-to-market strategies.
