Principal Infrastructure Architect

As a Principal Infrastructure Architect at Inception, you will lead the architectural vision for our advanced AI platforms, overseeing the design, development, and optimization of both cloud and on-premises infrastructures. With a focus on scalability, security, and performance, you will play a critical role in driving infrastructure innovation and ensuring resilience for mission-critical AI workloads. Your expertise will guide cross-functional teams and set the strategic direction for infrastructure excellence across the organization.

Inception is the UAE’s national-scale enabler in AI Research and Development. Partnering with Microsoft's AI SaaS, we offer domain-specific Agentic AI Orchestrator platform utilizing reasoning agents for precise and cost-effective services. Our focus includes AI incubation, IP creation, applied AI R&D, and AI investment products. By creating models tailored to specific domains and languages, we ensure superior accuracy and efficiency. Collaborating with top universities and industry giants to drive significant advancements in AI technology within the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the strategic infrastructure architecture roadmap to support Inception’s AI-driven initiatives.
  • Design robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions tailored to the demands of AI/ML workloads.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to align infrastructure strategies with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with software engineering to help in designing/optimizing the stack.
  • Optimize hybrid and multi-cloud architectures for performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
  • Drive adoption of best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, and resilience.
  • Champion the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools to streamline deployment processes.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance AI infrastructure capabilities.
  • Provide thought leadership and mentorship to infrastructure teams, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards, with a focus on data privacy and system integrity.

 

Required Tech Stack

  • Infrastructure Architecture: Expertise in designing and implementing, private, hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures.
  • Cloud Platforms: Mastery of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), VMWare, OpenStack.
  • Networking & Security: Advanced understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.
  • Automation & IaC: Proficiency with tools like Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and CloudFormation.
  • Storage Systems: Expertise in high-performance computing, distributed storage, and data pipelines for AI/ML.
  • Containerization: In-depth knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for managing AI/ML workloads and knowledge for popular distros like RKE2, OpenShift.
  • Disaster Recovery: Proven experience designing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Cost Management: Strong skills in optimizing cloud resources for performance and cost-effectiveness.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in infrastructure architecture, cloud platforms, or systems engineering.
  • Proven track record of architecting and managing large-scale, mission-critical infrastructures.
  • Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect) are highly preferred.
