Overview:
The Technology Director is a senior leadership role responsible for building, scaling, and operating enterprise-grade AI platforms and agent-based solutions across the organization. This role provides leadership across engineering execution, platform evolution, and delivery governance to ensure AI systems are reliable, secure, and production-ready.
The Director combines strong technical judgment with organizational leadership. The role is accountable for building effective teams, setting execution standards, driving delivery outcomes, and maintaining platform coherence across multiple initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary AI platforms and delivery organization across engineering, platform, and implementation teams
· Build leadership depth through coaching and development of engineering managers, technical leads, and senior engineers
· Own the technical direction and execution quality for AI platforms, agent orchestration capabilities, and shared services
· Review and govern architecture decisions across AI workflows, integrations, and runtime services
· Maintain platform coherence across multiple teams, products, and use cases
· Own delivery outcomes for AI platform and agent initiatives from planning through production rollout and operational stabilization
· Drive execution planning, sequencing, dependency management, and cross-team coordination
· Act as the senior escalation point for critical delivery risks, cross-functional blockers, and execution trade-offs
· Provide senior technical oversight through design reviews, architecture reviews, and critical technical decision-making
· Ensure teams adopt sound engineering practices across implementation, integration, testing, observability, and operational support
· Guide the adoption of modern agent frameworks, orchestration patterns, and Azure-native AI capabilities where they create practical value
· Partner with senior stakeholders to define delivery priorities, align expectations, and maintain focus on business outcomes
· Build alignment across engineering, architecture, security, and business teams on scope, timing, and execution approach
Qualifications:
Skills and attributes for success
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
· Minimum of 12 to 15 years of experience across software engineering, platform engineering, AI systems, and enterprise delivery roles
· Strong leadership experience managing complex engineering organizations and cross-functional delivery teams
· Proven ability to build high-performing teams, develop leaders, and drive accountability across multiple workstreams
· Strong engineering foundation with the ability to engage deeply on architecture, system design, and technical trade-offs
· Demonstrated experience delivering and operating AI-enabled platforms or agent-based solutions in production environments
· Deep familiarity with Azure-native architectures and AI services
· Strong system design capability across distributed systems, APIs, integrations, and orchestration layers
To qualify for the role you must have
· Demonstrated experience leading engineering and delivery organizations with end-to-end accountability for execution outcomes
· Experience owning enterprise platforms or shared systems used across multiple teams or functions
· Track record of delivering production-grade systems at scale with strong operational reliability
· Strong understanding of AI agent architectures, orchestration patterns, and modern AI implementation approaches
· Ability to review and govern complex technical designs while delegating implementation effectively
· Experience integrating AI systems into enterprise workflows, applications, and core operational processes
· Familiarity with CI/CD, observability, release governance, and production operations
· Strong understanding of enterprise security, access control, and governance requirements
· Experience operating in complex enterprise environments with multiple senior stakeholders and formal decision processes
