Principal Architect - Networking and Security

Overview:

The Opportunity

Own the networking, security, and platform architecture for AI data center infrastructure. This role defines how large‑scale GPU clusters are connected, secured, and exposed to workloads, ensuring high performance, resilience, and strong security from hardware through software.

You will act as a design authority, setting standards and reference architectures that enable AI platforms to scale reliably and operate securely in production.

Responsibilities:

• Architect high‑performance AI data center networks, including Ethernet, RDMA, and InfiniBand, with clear design for latency, bandwidth, fault domains, and scalability.
• Define end‑to‑end security architecture across hardware, network, and platform layers, including network segmentation, access controls, secure configuration, and threat mitigation.
• Establish reference architectures and design standards for AI infrastructure, covering networking, security controls, and platform integration.
• Partner with platform, SRE, and ML teams to ensure architectures meet performance, reliability, and operability requirements.
• Lead architectural reviews with internal teams and vendors, influencing design decisions and ensuring consistent implementation across deployments.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in data center, network, security, or infrastructure architecture.
• Deep expertise in data center networking and infrastructure security principles.
• Experience designing or governing large‑scale AI or GPU‑based systems.
