The G42 AI Function sits at the center of the group’s AI agenda, shaping enterprise-wide AI strategy, priority use cases, partnerships, and investments. It plays a key role in defining where and how G42 builds, partners, or acquires AI capabilities, while ensuring alignment with national priorities, responsible AI principles, and global best practices.

Within this function, the AI Strategy & Partnerships team works closely with senior leadership, operating companies, and external partners to design and execute G42’s AI growth strategy, structure strategic partnerships, support ecosystem development, and drive cross-group initiatives that scale AI impact across the organization.

Responsibilities:

R&D visibility and tracking

  • Maintain a consolidated, accurate view of AI R&D initiatives across OpCos.
  • Collect structured inputs from OpCo AI teams.
  • Track initiative status, dependencies, risks, and overlaps.
  • Ensure information is current, comparable, and decision-ready.

Execution support for priority alignment

  • Support the AI R&D Lead in cascading agreed research priorities to OpCos.
  • Coordinate information flow between central AI R&D and OpCo AI teams.
  • Follow up on actions agreed at steering or review forums.
  • Surface issues, delays, or conflicts for resolution.

Duplication and gap analysis

  • Identify overlapping research efforts across OpCos.
  • Analyze gaps in capabilities, infrastructure usage, and research coverage.
  • Prepare structured analysis to support prioritization and corrective actions.

Standards adoption support

  • Track adoption of agreed AI research standards and reference architectures.
  • Support teams in applying documentation, evaluation, and reproducibility practices.
  • Highlight practical blockers and inconsistencies observed during execution.

R&D planning and review operations

  • Prepare planning inputs, trackers, and summaries for group R&D cycles.
  • Support the organization and execution of AI R&D reviews and steering forums.
  • Document outcomes and track follow-up actions.
  • Maintain records of research outputs and their reuse potential.

Research output readiness

  • Ensure research outputs are documented in a form suitable for reuse.
  • Track which outputs are intended for reuse, scale, or downstream application.
  • Support coordination when research transitions toward applied teams.

Hands-on AI research contribution

  • Actively contribute to AI research efforts within the group.
  • Lead or co-lead selected research initiatives alongside coordination duties.
  • Design and run experiments, implement models, and analyze results.
  • Engage deeply with current AI research literature relevant to assigned topics.
  • Produce reusable research artifacts such as models, code, evaluations, or technical notes.
  • Share research findings to inform group-wide technical discussions.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in AI, ML, Computer Science, or related field.
  • PhD is a plus, not required.
  • 6+ years experience in AI research or advanced applied AI environments.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating multi-team AI initiatives.
  • Experience operating in structured, governance-driven environments is preferred.
