Senior Associate - Internal R&D Coordination

The G42 AI Function sits at the center of the group’s AI agenda, shaping enterprise-wide AI strategy, priority use cases, partnerships, and investments. It plays a key role in defining where and how G42 builds, partners, or acquires AI capabilities, while ensuring alignment with national priorities, responsible AI principles, and global best practices.

Within this function, the AI Strategy & Partnerships team works closely with senior leadership, operating companies, and external partners to design and execute G42’s AI growth strategy, structure strategic partnerships, support ecosystem development, and drive cross-group initiatives that scale AI impact across the organization.

Responsibilities:

R&D tracking and coordination support

• Support tracking of AI research initiatives across OpCos.
• Collect structured inputs on project scope, progress, and outputs.
• Update trackers, dashboards, and research inventories.
• Flag missing information or inconsistencies to the Manager.

Documentation and reporting

• Support preparation and maintenance of research documentation.
• Assist teams in organizing experiment logs, evaluation results, and technical summaries.
• Maintain centralized records of research outputs, references, and artifacts.

Review and forum support

• Support preparation of materials for AI R&D reviews and coordination meetings.
• Assist with agenda preparation, note-taking, and action tracking.
• Follow up on assigned action items.

Standards and asset support

• Support use of agreed tools, templates, and research methods.
• Assist in organizing shared research assets such as code, models, and datasets.
• Help track reuse of research outputs across teams.

Hands-on AI research contribution

• Actively contribute to AI research tasks as part of assigned projects.
• Implement model components, experiments, and evaluation pipelines.
• Run experiments, analyze results, and document findings.
• Support development of research prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
• Read and apply relevant AI research literature under guidance.
• Produce concrete research outputs such as code, experiment results, and technical notes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–4 years experience in AI research, applied AI, or advanced prototyping roles.
• Practical experience implementing and evaluating AI models.
• Familiarity with modern AI research workflows and tools.
