Overview:

The SAP S/4HANA ERP Architect is responsible for defining, leading, and governing the end-to-end architecture, migration, and optimization of the organization’s SAP S/4HANA ERP and SAP Ariba landscape. The role includes designing the target operating model, leading the migration from Microsoft Dynamics to the SAP S/4HANA ERP system and from Coupa to SAP Ariba, and ensuring that all business processes across Acquire to Retire, Order to Cash, Plan to Stock, Procure to Pay, Project to Profit, and Record to Report are standardized, compliant, and AI-enabled for future readiness. The Architect ensures that all finance-related processes are optimized, well-governed, and aligned with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
1. ERP Strategy & Governance

Define and execute the ERP roadmap aligned with business strategy and group technology standards.

Lead ERP transformation and migration initiatives (e.g., from Microsoft Dynamics to SAP S/4HANA or equivalent).

Establish strong governance, controls, and data standards across all ERP modules.

Ensure compliance with security, data residency, and audit requirements.

2. Finance Systems & Process Optimization

Oversee the design, implementation, and support of finance-related modules—General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Treasury, and Financial Planning.

Drive automation, AI adoption, and workflow digitization in collaboration with Finance and IT teams.

Integrate ERP with other enterprise systems such as HRMS (SAP SuccessFactors), reporting tools (Power BI, SAC, or Visier), tax systems, and banking platforms.

Continuously assess and optimize business processes for efficiency, compliance, and scalability.

3. Implementation, Support & Vendor Management

Lead the end-to-end delivery of ERP projects, including requirements, configuration, testing, and cutover.

Manage external implementation partners and ensure alignment with contractual SLAs.

Oversee issue resolution, enhancements, and change requests.

Maintain detailed documentation, configuration guides, and system knowledge base.

4. Stakeholder & Change Management

Partner with key stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, HR, and IT to ensure business alignment.

Facilitate workshops, UATs, and training for system users.

Promote adoption of new processes and tools through effective communication and user engagement.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior management for digital finance transformation initiatives.

5. Compliance, Controls & Reporting

Ensure ERP systems meet internal audit, SOX, and statutory compliance requirements.

Implement role-based access controls and segregation of duties.

Oversee finance master data management and ensure data accuracy across entities.

Generate actionable insights and analytics through dashboards and financial reports.

Qualifications:

Qualifications and Experience
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, or Information Systems.
•    Minimum of 10 years of ERP experience with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA architecture, finance transformation, and system migration.
•    Proven success in delivering large-scale ERP transformation programs integrating Finance, Procurement, and HR systems.
•    SAP certifications in S/4HANA Architecture and SAP Ariba preferred. TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification is an advantage.
