Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to oversee multiple workstreams within a large and complex Technology program for Core42. The role will report to the Program Director and the PMO, ensuring the seamless delivery of software and service enabling projects. The role demands excellent project management and organization capabilities, the ability to engage multiple stakeholders effectively and a strong knowledge of cloud technologies.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Project Planning and Execution

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and risk management
  • Lead project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget and quality standards.
  • Monitor and control project progress, making adjustments as necessary to meet objectives.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including development teams, business units, and third-party vendors.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, providing status updates and addressing issues.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment among all parties involved.

Risk and Issue Management

  • Identify, assess and manage project risks and issues.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential impacts.
  • Proactively resolve conflicts and escalate issues when necessary.

Resource Management

  • Coordinate the allocation of resources across the allocated workstreams.
  • Manage team members, ensuring they have the necessary tools and support to succeed and foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

Document and Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports and risk registers.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to the Program Director and PMO.
  • Ensure compliance with Core42 policies and procedures.

    Technical Exposure and Knowledge

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in Cloud (IaaS and PaaS) solutions.
  • Ensure the implementation of best practices and standards within the workstreams.

                PMO Collaboration

  • Align project goals and deliverables with the overall program strategy and objectives defined by the PMO
  • Implement PMO standards, methodologies and templates to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the PMO to continuously improve project management processes and practices
  • Develop strong relationships with the senior stakeholders within G42 and its ecosystem partnership.
  • Enable constant improvement of our program delivery.

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in Project management within the technology sector, specifically in Cloud Infrastructure and platform projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Preferably previous experience within a consulting organization.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, including IaaS and PaaS platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc.
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in cloud services
  • Proven track record of managing large and complex transformation projects from initiation to completion.
  • Experience working within a PMO structure is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Project and Document Management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence and so on.
  • Strong and demonstrable awareness of different project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to deliver results while under pressure and navigate deadlines
  • Strong understanding of the business and commercial aspects of a cloud organization and the role that a project manager plays within it.
  • Experience with interacting, partnering and managing third party resources, large systems integrators, development and IT consulting teams.
  • Strong team building skills, with ability to build quick and effective work engagement with distributed team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present at the Board and C-level.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) equivalent certification.
  • Relevant Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified: Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are desirable
