The opportunity
An experienced scheduler, with at least 15 years of experience in managing complex project schedules across major capital delivery. The individual will form a critical part of the PMO function at Core42, supporting the completion of GPU deployments through developing, maintaining and optimising the integrated project schedule across the portfolio to ensure resource alignment, timeline visibility and successful delivery of strategic initiatives. 

Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities

• Define and maintain portfolio scheduling standards (WBS, calendars, dependencies, time risk allowances, statuses) and enforce consistent methodology across programs; maintain the master integrated schedule as the source of truth for milestones, gates, and interdependencies.
• Build and continuously reconcile the cross‑function schedule with dependencies (incl. design, long‑lead procurement, site readiness, commissioning), ensuring realistic forecasts for project planning with consideration to resource constraints.
• Identify critical path and schedule float; including running what‑if scenarios, and model schedule impacts of resource, scope, costs, and risk changes to inform governance decisions.
• Publish portfolio dashboards and reports (milestones, variance, forecast completion date, schedule risk, cost), drive stage‑gate/calendar cadences, and ensure timely data refresh for executive decisions.
• Coordinate with project managers, project support functions, and project coordinators for schedule inputs and approvals; run formal schedule change control and baselining to preserve auditability and comparability.
• Operate scheduling and collaboration tools (MS Project, P6, etc.) and maintain controlled repositories for schedules, minutes, and logs as per Core42 procedures.
• Enable ways of working to support an environment of constant improvement.

What we’re looking for

• Relevant Experience: robust experience in project scheduling roles, ideally with hands-on involvement in managing schedules on large portfolios, delivering impactful solutions, with circa 15 years and above experience including at least 2 years of data centre and/or GPU experience.

• Analytical Thinking: Ability to manage and interpret large datasets, assess the impact of changes, and generate actionable insights; understanding the interdependencies and critical levers of the schedules.
• Detail Orientation: Strong focus on accuracy and precision when planning and executing change initiatives.
• Tech & Innovation Enthusiasm: Genuine interest in technology and innovation, with a commitment to creating exceptional customer experiences. Identification of innovative solutions and improvements that can be made in an ongoing approach to the project planning and scheduling.
• Collaborative Mindset: Comfortable working across diverse teams and functional areas, fostering an inclusive and cooperative approach to problem solving.
• Clear Communication: Proficient in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences.

• Collaboration: Ability to partner effectively with internal teams and external vendors to achieve successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

 (a) Required skills / qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role with demonstrable scheduling experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry standard scheduling tools (e.g. MS Projects, Primavera P6, etc.)

(b) Preferred skills / qualifications

• Previous experience of GPU deployments
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and G42 Cloud.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
