About the Role

The Specialist - Legal & ESG (Paralegal) will support AIQ’s General Counsel and Legal function by providing legal administrative, contractual, governance, and compliance support, while also contributing to AIQ’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

The role will act as a key support function within the Legal team, assisting with contract lifecycle management, legal documentation, corporate governance activities, regulatory compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. In addition, the role will support ESG reporting, data management, and sustainability-related activities to ensure alignment with AIQ’s commitments and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Legal & Paralegal Support (Primary Responsibility)

Contract & Legal Documentation Support

  • Support the preparation, review, formatting, and administration of legal documents, agreements, contracts, amendments, and other legal correspondence.
  • Assist with contract lifecycle management, including tracking contract status, renewals, obligations, and key milestones.
  • Maintain organized legal records, contract repositories, and documentation databases.
  • Support legal review processes by coordinating inputs from internal stakeholders and maintaining document versions.
  • Assist in preparing standard legal templates, notices, letters, and other legal communications.

Governance & Compliance Support

  • Support the General Counsel in maintaining corporate governance documentation, registers, and records.
  • Assist in managing governance activities including approval matrices, delegations of authority, conflicts of interest registers, and other compliance records.
  • Support preparation of materials for Board, committee meetings, internal reviews, audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Maintain tracking logs for legal actions, compliance requirements, and governance activities.

Legal Operations & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal departments including Finance, Human Capital, Procurement, Technology, and Operations on legal matters.
  • Support external legal advisors and consultants by coordinating information requests and documentation.
  • Assist in monitoring legal deadlines, regulatory requirements, and action items.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Legal function.

ESG & Sustainability Support (Secondary Responsibility)

ESG Data & Reporting

  • Support the collection, consolidation, and maintenance of ESG-related data across AIQ.
  • Assist in preparing ESG reports, disclosures, and sustainability-related submissions in line with applicable frameworks and stakeholder requirements.
  • Maintain ESG documentation and ensure data accuracy and audit readiness.

ESG Compliance & Initiatives

  • Support monitoring of ESG-related requirements, standards, and best practices.
  • Assist with ESG-related policies, procedures, and internal awareness initiatives.
  • Support sustainability activities including environmental initiatives, diversity and inclusion programs, and responsible business practices.

Stakeholder Support & Research

  • Coordinate ESG inputs from relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct research on ESG trends, regulatory developments, and industry benchmarks.
  • Support preparation of ESG presentations, reports, and communication materials.

Qualifications:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Sustainability, Compliance, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a legal operations, paralegal, contract administration, compliance, governance, or ESG-related role.
  • Experience supporting legal teams in a corporate environment is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of contracts, corporate governance principles, and legal documentation.
  • Familiarity with ESG concepts and reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, UN SDGs) is advantageous.
