Senior Human Capital Business Partner

Overview:

To partner with business leaders in shaping and delivering Human Capital programs that drive performance, build capability, and enable growth. This role plays a key part in workforce planning, organisation design, and talent development to support AIQ’s transformation journey.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Workforce Planning & Org Design
    •    Support the design and implementation of org structures, job titles, and grading aligned with business strategy.
    •    Develop org charts, reporting lines, and spans of control.
    •    Create and maintain accurate job descriptions that clearly define responsibilities and accountabilities.
    •    Support integration of Emirati roles in workforce planning. Hiring logistics and compliance tracking are managed by the TA Partner and ER Specialist.

 

2.  Compensation & Recognition
•    Manage performance review cycles that drive merit increases, promotions, and bonuses.
•    Advise on fair pay, offers, and reward strategies aligned to market benchmarks.
•    Conduct job and grade evaluations for new or evolving roles.
•    Contribute to informal and strategic recognition initiatives.

3. Performance Management
•    Cascade KPIs and ensure alignment of headcount with business and financial targets.
•    Manage the full performance cycle including timelines, tools, and communications.
•    Support performance improvement plans and track progress for underperforming employees.


4. Talent & Succession
•    Support talent reviews, succession planning, and contractor-to-permanent conversion assessments.
•    Consolidate and advise on retention strategies.
•    Lead executive onboarding and exit processes for business-critical or sensitive roles. Standard onboarding is managed by the ER Specialist.


5. Leadership & Capability Development
•    Coordinate leadership development programs and learning platforms in conjunction with Presight L&D and external partners.
•    Drive leadership engagement and readiness for business challenges.
•    Partner with the ER Specialist on company-wide and leadership-led recognition.


6. Business Partnership & Advisory
•    Act as a trusted advisor to line managers on people planning, team design, and hiring decisions.
•    Translate business needs into actionable Human Capital strategies.


7. Governance & Compliance
•    Prepare content for REMCO, Board, and executive-level reviews.
•    Ensure alignment of Human Capital practices with audit, ISO, and internal governance requirements.


8. Budgeting & Cost Control
•    Partner with Finance to build and monitor budgets for compensation and benefits.


9. Culture & Engagement
•    Lead follow-up planning after engagement surveys in collaboration with business leaders. Survey execution and reporting are managed by the ER Specialist.

Qualifications:

·  8+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a business partner or generalist role

·  Expert understanding of core HR areas: performance, org design, compensation, and talent

·  Experience working with senior leaders and influencing decisions at leadership level

·  Solid judgment and a practical mindset: you know when to escalate and when to just sort it

·  Strong written and verbal communication skills

·  High level of comfort working in fast-moving, complex environments with shifting priorities

·  Experience in the UAE market preferred; sector experience in tech, energy, or AI is a plus

·  Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field; HR certification (e.g. CIPD)
