About the role:
AIQ is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to drive quality at scale across our tech stack through smart, scalable test solutions. Join us to shape the future of AI-driven platforms by collaborating closely with design, product, and engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the software design and product teams to review user stories, clarify requirements, and define clear acceptance criteria.
- Identify weaknesses in software applications and prioritize high-impact test areas.
- Design and implement robust automated test strategy, including data-driven testing and data visualization validation.
- Develop and maintain scalable automated test scripts for frontend, backend, and APIs using modern automation frameworks.
- Review and analyze bug reports, conduct root cause analysis, and follow up on resolution.
- Ensure test coverage across edge cases, negative flows, and performance-sensitive components.
- Contribute to test data management and simulate production-like scenarios to validate data correctness.
- Maintain test results documentation, dashboards, and reporting for stakeholders.
- Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated tests.
- Promote a culture of quality across the engineering team through early testing, peer reviews, and code/test coverage analysis.
- Collaborating with the design team to solve application faults.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in QA automation for web-based applications.
- Strong experience with data-driven testing frameworks and validating data visualizations, charts, or reporting dashboards.
- Proficiency in test automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
- Good understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, React, Angular) or Python (Flask, Django).
- Hands-on experience with test frameworks such as Mocha, Jest, pytest, or Unittest.
- Comfortable writing modular, reusable test code and maintaining automation libraries.
- Deep knowledge of QA methodologies, test plan development, and defect lifecycle.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and integration of automated tests into pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and tools for API automation.
- Basic experience working with databases and validating data flows (SQL, NoSQL).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and participation in sprint ceremonies.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to preventing issues before release.
- Experience in Microsoft Power BI is a big plus.
